AY the comedian, was the first to post the birthday video where he went to his daughter’s school to cheer her up on her special day.
Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, took to Instagram to share adorable photos from Ayomide’s birthday shoot, expressing his deep affection for his daughter and how much he misses having her around.
Mabel Makun must have decided not to join the comedian to celebrate their daughter Ayomide’s third birthday on January 16, 2025.
Rather, Mabel also shared a tribute on her social media, thanking God for Ayomide’s presence in their lives. She wrote:
“Happy birthday God’s favorite, heaven’s shining star Ayomide MAKUN. We are super grateful to God almighty for honoring us with your presence in our lives.”
This joint celebration comes nearly two years after the couple announced the end of their nearly two-decade-long marriage.
In April 2023, AY publicly confirmed the split, expressing regret over losing his home and admitting to compromises during their marriage.
He urged the public to avoid spreading harmful narratives about his family, particularly for the sake of their teenage daughter, Michelle.
Mabel also addressed the separation, expressing her disappointment over the breakdown of her dreams for a lifelong marriage.
