For Nollywood actress cum musician, Angela Okorie, she wouldn’t keep quiet for billionaire wife, Regina Daniels to talk down on her.
Angela scolded Regina Daniels and accused her of veiled disrespect over a post shared on social media.
Angelatook to her Instagram stories on Tuesday to respond to what she perceived as an indirect jab from Regina.
The tension between the two actresses escalated after Angela stated that she had forgiven their colleague, Mercy Johnson, due to an alleged illness.
During an Instagram live session on Tuesday, Angela Okorie announced that she had put an end to her long-running feud with Mercy.
She said she chose to forgive the mother of four after hearing disturbing reports about her health condition.
Reacting on her Instagram Story, Regina Daniels, who is a close friend and industry ally of Mercy Johnson, strongly rebuked Angela’s statement and dismissed the “so-called forgiveness.”
However, Angela did not take kindly to the tone of the message.
In a flurry of Instagram stories that have since gone viral, the ‘Legit Queen’ crooner clapped back, calling out Regina’s marital status and implying that being married to a wealthy older man does not give her the right to speak to her elders in a condescending manner.
“You feel because you married a grandpa you can talk to me?” Angela fired.
She went on to suggest that Regina lacked proper home training and maturity despite her education.
“Me I just think to say every young girl wey go school suppose get sense, especially a child with proper home training,” she wrote.
Angela further reminded Regina of her early years in the industry, hinting that the younger actress used to look up to her and even visited her home with reverence.
“You are like a child to me… you used to come to my house with so much respect,” she stated.
Although she clarified that she had no issues with Regina’s husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, Angela made it clear she would not tolerate being disrespected by someone she believes owes her a degree of gratitude.
“You just won’t stop embarrassing Nigerians from time to time with your and your old man,” she wrote.
In a final warning, Angela told Regina to steer clear of her, “If you insult me again, I will remind you what you have forgotten. Last warning, Regina Daniels.”
Responding to Angela’s warnings and insults, Regina didn’t hold back.
In a new statement, she wrote, “Aunty werey I married my old man but he is certainly not your regular old man. He is everything your kind prays for but can’t attract. Don’t get me started to tell the world how you were chasing this same old man.”
She added, “Now let your age reflect your reasoning. Clearly you failed because a girl that once admired you when she was 6 sees you as nothing to write home about.”
Regina also made it clear she doesn’t want to be compared to Angela in any way, “And for Christ sake stop comparing yourself to me!!! It will be a huge disrespect to me and everyone that supports my movement. You and I are not the same. Not even close. I am bigger than you and your entire music/movie career. Let’s not even mention my mama (Mercy Johnson) whose name rings the loudest bell. I don’t need scandals or shadows to shine.”
She concluded her fiery response with a reflection on maturity and legacy, “Age? It’s just a number. What truly counts is how you’ve lived, what you’ve built, and who you’ve become. The roads I’ve walked, the milestones I’ve hit with grace, not disgrace are places your bitterness will never carry you.”
As of the time of filing this report, Angela has not responded to Regina’s rebuttal.
Regina, 24, is married to 63-year-old billionaire politician Ned Nwoko, with whom she shares two sons.
