The Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards 2017 which held on Saturday March 4, at the Eko Hotel, Lagos might have come and gone but not Toyin Aimakhu’s dress.
Everyone is talking about the dress!
No one took the shine away from her dress, not even winners.
Just like Cinderella arriving at the ball, her peach ball dress set the Internet on fire!
Styled by Tolu Bally, it was obvious Toyin Aimakhu, now Abraham, was prepared for the august event.
However, the 2016 edition of the prestigious awards featured the ilks of Mercy Aigbe-Gentry who stole the show in her white floor-length dress.
Many talked about Mercy’s dress and she even had a spat with a national newspaper’s style magazine for not rating her as one of the best dressed.
Conspicuously absent during the 2017 edition of the AMVCA, Kemiashefonlovehaven gathered from comments on Mercy’s Instagram page that her absence must be linked with a bad tailor’s day experience.
Meanwhile, two days before the event, she had posted a picture of her dress of 2016 and had triggered the excitement of her fans, who were looking forward to what she would wear on March 4.
But it seems 2017 is for Toyin anyway. She sauntered into the hall and held everyone in awe! She indeed stole the show! Little wonder she posted on Instagram:
