The organisers of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) have officially closed voting for the 12th edition of the awards, with winners scheduled to be unveiled on May 9.

In a post shared on Sunday, Africa Magic thanked viewers for participating in the voting process across various audience categories.

“Voting has officially closed. The #AMVCA12 votes are in! Huge thank you to everyone who took the time to support their favourites – you made your voices count.

“Now the real wait begins… May 9th can’t come fast enough! Who’s taking home the wins?” the organisers said.

The awards ceremony will be broadcast live across Africa Magic channels, with the red carpet expected to begin at 4:00 p.m. WAT, while the main event will hold at 7:00 p.m. WAT.

This year’s edition features 32 categories, including 18 jury-decided awards, 11 audience-voted categories, and three special honours such as the Lifetime Achievement and Trailblazer awards.
