Popular Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo has reportedly died.
The news began circulating on social media on Tuesday, with many fans expressing shock over the development. Confirming the reports, actor Godwin Nnadiekwe shared a heartfelt message mourning the late actor.
In his tribute, Godwin said he was devastated by the news and described Ekubo as a rare personality in Nollywood.
“I’m struggling to find the words. This news has truly broken me. Nollywood has lost a rare soul, and I’m lost for words because this wasn’t the plan, Alex Ekubo. To think you already prepared your will—It’s a heartbreak I can’t quite describe. Rest well, my friend 😢,” he wrote.

He also suggested in the caption of the post that cancer was responsible for the actor’s death.
