Nigeria’s first lady, Aisha Buhari, has pledged to take care of the two kids of the late Nigeria’s four-time para – powerlifting world medalist, Ndidi Nwosu.

Aisha Buhari who was represented by the Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Cecilia Ezeilo, stated this during her funeral in Umuagbada, Umuoba, Eziachi Orlu, home in Imo State.
Her Non-Governmental organization, will carter for the late Ndidi’s two children, Mrs. Ezeilo said.
She described, Ndidi as a “great Nigerian”, saying, “She came, represented Nigeria in international Para Powerlifting championships and came home with medals”.
Ndidi won gold for Nigeria at the Rio Paralympic Games in 2016 and also at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. It was at the Commonwealth Games that she sustained an injury which affected her spine and ended her professional career.
Ndidi had undergone multiple surgeries following the injury which affected her daily life. She would later die as a result of the ailment in April.
