The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has paid a visit to Costa Rican President Laura Fernández during his trip to the Central American nation for the National Crusade of Hope.
Adeboye announced the visit in a social media post on Tuesday, saying he was accompanied by his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye, to the presidency, where they were received by the president.
He described the meeting as an opportunity to build relationships and discuss issues surrounding faith, hope, peace and the transformation of lives.
“It was a great honour to visit the Presidency of Costa Rica alongside my beloved wife @pastorfoluadeboye during the National Crusade of Hope,” he wrote.
The cleric emphasised that the Christian faith was not restricted by geographical boundaries, languages or cultural differences, reaffirming the church’s commitment to spreading the gospel around the world.
“The Gospel of Jesus Christ is not limited by borders, languages, or cultures. Our mission remains to take the message of salvation to every nation, trusting God to bring hope to individuals, families, and communities,” he stated.
Adeboye also offered prayers for Fernández and the people of Costa Rica, expressing his desire for the country to enjoy peace, healing and restoration.
“May the Lord bless President Laura Fernández and the people of Costa Rica, and may this nation continue to experience the goodness and peace of God,” he added.
He concluded his message by quoting Habakkuk 2:14, which states: “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”
