Veteran Yoruba actor, Yinka Quadri, is celebrating a double dose of joy as he welcomes a new grandchild and marks the premiere of his latest movie.
The Nollywood legend shared the happy news on Instagram, posting photos and videos of himself with his daughter, Juwon, and his newborn granddaughter.
In his post, Quadri expressed excitement over the two major blessings that came his way on the same day. He wrote, “Double celebrations. My joy is full and my good news is making me happy. Joy is overflowing.”
He added that his new movie titled Orukawura premiered on YouTube the same day his daughter gave birth. “‘Orukawura’ will be showing today via YINKA QUADRI TV on YouTube from 2pm. Also, my daughter Juwon gave birth to a bouncing baby girl today. A joyful moment,” he shared.

Yinka Quadri, who began his acting journey in 1976 after co-founding the Afopina Theatre Group with Taiwo Olayinka and other friends, has since become one of the most respected figures in the Yoruba film industry.
He made his television debut in Agbodorogun and has gone on to appear in numerous acclaimed productions such as Gangs of Lagos, Move Like a Boss, Okinni, The Return of Jenifa, Owo Blow, and 77 Bullets.
The celebrated actor has remained a household name in Nollywood for decades. In 2024, he revealed that false rumours of his death once caused “stress and anxiety” for his family members, especially his children living abroad.
