The Association of Corporate and Marketing Communications Professionals in Banks in Nigeria (ACAMB) has announced that its late publicity secretary Abdul Imoyo would be buried on January 18, 2024.

Imoyo, who was also head of media relations at Access Bank, died on December 17, 2023 at First Cardiology, Ikoyi, Lagos, after a brief illness.

A statement by ACAMB signed by its president Rasheed Bolarinwa said a service of songs in Imoyo’s honour would be held at Harbour Point Event Center, 4 Wilmot Point Road, Victoria Island, Lagos on January 17.

This will be followed by a funeral service on January 18 at The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Olive Tree Parish, Banana Island Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Bolarinwa stated that “Imoyo, a highly regarded Corporate Media Manager and Journalist, leaves behind a legacy of excellence in the field of Corporate Communications.”

Imoyo was a former vice chairman of the Capital Market Correspondents Association of Nigeria and was the finance editor of BusinessDay between May 2004 and July 2010.

He attended the Lagos State University between 1998 and 2002 where he bagged a B.Sc in public administration and later attended the University of Lagos, where he bagged his master of business administration.

The deceased joined Access Bank in 2014 as a corporate communications manager.
