Abule Ado Explosion: TB Joshua Reveals What God Told Him About Incident

Just as evacuation of debris continues on the site of the Abule Ado explosion which occurred on Sunday, the leader and founder of The Synagogue, Church of All Nations, Pastor Temitope Joshua has revealed the instructions given him by God concerning the incident.

In an Instagram post, he urged Nigerians to come to the aid of victims.

“On Sunday 15th March 2020, an explosion occurred in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State, leading to multiple casualties and destroying over 50 buildings.

On Monday 16th March 2020, Prophet TB Joshua personally visited the affected area and gave the following message during The SCOAN Living Water Service: “I woke up this morning and the Spirit of God said I should go to the place where there was an explosion yesterday. I want everyone who can to take your time to go and see what happened there. The people affected need your help and support. In whatever way God puts in your heart – please support the affected community. God bless you!,” he wrote.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) says some corpses, including a family of four, were recovered from the scene of Sunday’s explosion which occurred at Abule Ado, Lagos state.

Ibrahim Farinloye, acting coordinator of NEMA in Lagos, told NAN that a couple and their two sons were among those who died in the explosion. He said they were on their way to church when the unfortunate incident happened.

At least 60 students of Bethlehem Girls College located within the area who sustained various degrees of injuries were taken to the Nigerian Navy Hospital in Satellite town.

Farinloye said over 50 buildings, including Bethlehem Girls College and a popular hotel, were damaged in the explosion.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) says that a gas explosion caused the blast.
In a statement by the Group General Manager, Public Affairs Division, Dr Kennie Obateru, on Sunday, the blast occurred after a truck hit some gas cylinders stacked in a gas processing plant located near the corporation’s System 2B pipeline right of way.

He added that preliminary findings indicated that the impact of the explosion was huge that it led to the collapse of nearby houses and damaged some NNPC pipelines.
