Abiola Ajimobi: He Was Best Man, Best Husband, Best Grandfather—Wife

So many would say his daughters will miss him because he was very close to them.

Don’t forget that they have their spouses to console them except Ajaya who is the last daughter and still single.

Truth be told, his wife, Mrs Florence Ajimobi must be inconsolable now.

Senator Abiola Ajimobi and his wife were an item!

Always together, you would think they were teenagers in love. To think she was a devout Christian and her late husband, a practicing Moslem.

The couple who was married for 39 years before Ajimobi kicked the bucket on June 25, 2020 after suffering from COVID-19  complications, remained a shining example to their children.

Florence also reportedly tested positive for COVID-19  but recovered.

“We met initially in London, then we met in Nigeria; then we met at the bank. It was then I told myself: ‘this is my wife.’ I went to her and said ‘hello’ and she replied ‘hello!’ The person with whom I went to the place asked, ‘How did you know the woman you are greeting?’ I said ‘go and ask the woman, don’t ask me.’ She then went away and I went my own way. The third time it was raining and I offered her my umbrella and she accepted my offer of umbrella. I then asked, ‘Do you remember me?’ She said ‘no.’ I said, ‘Well, we met before’ and she said, ‘Okay, what’s the problem? You want me to use your umbrella or you want to toast me?’ Many things later happened and in the end we got married. The particular attraction I saw in her was honesty, very hardworking and that, she still has,” he revealed  of their initial meeting in an interview.

On their 38th anniversary in 2019, while writing on his social media handles, the enigmatic administrator mused, “Not a long journey, but our God-ordained union has been an adventure. Not a love story, our marriage has been an epic tale of romance and lessons.

“Not just a happy ending, our marriage is a blissful loop of sweet memories and fantastic endless tales.

“Thank you, my Masterpiece of Nature for everything. Happy wedding anniversary to us. It has been 38 years of amazingness.”

“39years strong❣
Eternally grateful to have the best man with me through the years. Best husband, father and grandfather. Thank you for being a good and solid companion on this journey.

As we look to the future with so much hope, may our evening years together bring a more joy than we have ever known.”

But that didn’t mean he didn’t cheat on her.

A loving wife, Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, said she caught her husband having an affair on two occasions.

Mrs. Ajimobi said this while speaking with her daughter, Bisola in a video which was posted on Instagram earlier in 2020.

According to Florence, when most men cheat, it is just about sex and nothing more.
