Already, notorious London blogger, Basirat Tolulope Adeoye Olowogaba aka Abike Jagaban,  is confused and running helter skelter to ensure she isn’t brought to book.

Though distracting herself by roaming social media accounts of journalists and bloggers who are writing her untoward act of creating a fake podcast, and trolling them, Abike is said to be hiding somewhere in Lagos and feigning she is back to the United Kingdom.

“She would soon be prosecuted and charged with disseminating false information.

The provisions of S 24 of the Cybercrime Act of 2015 specifically criminalize the act of sharing fake news of this nature and any person that is found guilty of this act is liable for at least 3 years imprisonment term.

It provides thus:

Any person who knowingly or intentionally sends a message or other matter by means of computer systems or network that –

(a) is grossly offensive, pornographic or of an indecent, obscene or menacing character or causes any such message or matter to be so sent; or

(b) he knows to be false, for the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvenience danger, obstruction, insult, injury, criminal intimidation, enmity, hatred, ill will or needless anxiety to another or causes such a message to be sent:

commits an offence under this Act and shall be liable on conviction to a fine of not more than N7,000,000.00 or imprisonment for a term of not more than 3 years or to both such fine and imprisonment,”  explained some lawyers Kemi Ashefon spoke with.

Already, the Elegushis have kept mum on the fake podcast by Abike.

“The matter on ground is beyond Oba Elegushi and his wife. Even if they are not dragging Abike to court (which I doubt) we (some lawyers) we are heading for the court.

Recall that last Thursday notorious London blogger, Basirat Tolulope Adeoye Olowogaba aka Abike Jagaban,. made a ‘show’ on Facebook and announced the death of Queen Sekinat Aramide Elegushi.

Abike even corroborated her claim with a narrative that Queen Sekinat’s aunt  told her about the ‘death’ amidst tears!

It turned out that every information was false.
