Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun has addressed the backlash trailing his decision to publicly campaign for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The actor recently attracted criticism after posting videos of himself organising and attending political rallies in different parts of the country in support of Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
His political involvement has not gone down well with some Nigerians, who have taken to social media to express their displeasure and criticise his support for the president.
However, Saidi has refused to remain silent amid the criticism, urging those attacking him to respect his personal choices and allow others to live according to their convictions.
Taking to social media, the actor also offered prayers for his critics, asking God to intervene in their lives while making a remark about their curses and prayers.
