The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two men, including a 49-year-old Polish citizen, after uncovering a suspected cannabis cultivation facility inside a residential building in Apapa.
The command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Adebisi, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, identifying the suspects as Thomas Razvickas, 49, and James Chisome, 36, a Nigerian.
According to the police, operatives discovered the facility on November 2, 2026, after acting on intelligence received about suspected illegal activities at the property.
A search of the premises reportedly led to the discovery of a well-equipped indoor farm designed for growing, harvesting and processing substances believed to be cannabis.
“The discovery was made on 2nd November 2026 at about 08:15 hrs, following credible intelligence received by operatives of the command,” she said.

Adebisi explained that both men, who lived at the property, were arrested in connection with the discovery and taken into custody.
“The suspects are currently in police custody, where they have made confessional statements and are providing useful information to aid ongoing investigations,” she added.
The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Tijani Fatai, visited the location to examine the facility and receive updates from officers handling the case.
