Nigerian singer and rapper Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj, has paid tribute to his late son, Daniel, in an emotional message reflecting on the loss and the memories they shared.

The musician shared family photographs featuring himself, his wife, Lineo Didi Kilgrow, and their son, who died several years ago, alongside a heartfelt note expressing how much he misses the child.

Addressing Daniel, whom he described as the family’s “star boy”, D’banj acknowledged the pain of losing him and said he could only imagine how deeply his wife had been affected by the tragedy.

He also expressed gratitude for the lessons his son’s life had taught him, adding that he believed Daniel would be proud of how the family had continued to move forward.

In the message, the singer wrote, “I miss you, Daniel D3rd, my son and trust me, I can’t imagine how your mother feels, but we are in a safe space now. Thank you..

“Omo Baba Eh, our family’s star boy.

“But thank you; I’m in a safe space, and so are your mother, brother, and sister. I’m sure you are proud of us.

“Thank you for showing me what life really is.

“Say hi to your Uncle Femi.

“Tell him I miss him too.

“Daddy loves you specially, physically, spiritually, and powerfully”.
