Nollywood veteran actor Ebun Oloyede, popularly known as Olaiya Igwe, has dismissed reports claiming that he is critically ill, saying he is in good health.
The rumours surfaced after a video of the actor walking while being supported by another person went viral on social media, prompting concerns among his fans and colleagues.
However, Olaiya Igwe has explained that the video was taken from a movie set and had nothing to do with his actual health condition.
“I am not sick at all, I am very okay,” he said. “That viral clip was just a movie scene. The director asked me to act like someone who just got discharged from the hospital. People just picked it up and claimed I was sick. I am perfectly fine.”
The veteran actor said the scene was part of Mr Latin’s upcoming movie, where he was required to portray a character who had just left the hospital.
Olaiya Igwe’s clarification has since reassured fans who had expressed concern after seeing the viral clip.
