Nollywood actress Nkiru Umeh has responded amid growing online speculation linking her to an alleged affair with actor Frederick Leonard.
The actress took to her Instagram page to share a short video of herself, accompanied by a calm and reflective caption that appeared to address the ongoing chatter surrounding her name.
“Uwa enwe nmeta (You can’t please the world). It is well”.
Her post comes after social media users resurfaced an old birthday message she had once written for Leonard, where she described him as a long-time friend and praised their relationship as one built on trust, loyalty and genuine care. In the throwback post, she also commended the actor’s consistency and grounded personality.
Frederick Leonard had previously replied to the message, noting that their friendship had lasted over a decade and describing her as family while adding that he would still choose her as a friend in another life.
The renewed attention follows recent accusations made by Frederick Leonard’s estranged wife, Peggy Ovire, who alleged that he was involved with a married woman with children while also delaying their divorce process.
