Renowned Nigerian singer 2Baba, also known as Innocent Idibia, has met with Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, to discuss a proposed initiative that aims to inspire young Nigerians through music and culture.
The artiste revealed the meeting in a post shared on Instagram on Saturday, explaining that he and members of his strategic team presented the concept of a programme designed to reshape youth attitudes and promote constructive values through entertainment.
According to 2Baba, the initiative is intended to challenge harmful narratives among young people and encourage them to use their energy and creativity for positive national development.
“I had the honour of meeting with Nigeria’s Honourable Minister of Defence, General CG Musa, alongside my strategic team to explore how music can help counter violent narratives among young Nigerians,” he wrote.
“During the meeting, I unveiled a culture-driven initiative that uses music as a tool for youth reorientation, promoting positive values and transforming entertainment into a force for social impact.”
The award-winning performer stressed that Nigeria’s large youth population presents both an opportunity and a responsibility to create platforms that empower creative talent while promoting unity and national progress.
“With over 150 million young people in Nigeria and many vulnerable to negative influences, initiatives like this are important to spark meaningful conversations, empower creative talent, and channel youth energy toward nation-building,” he added.

While further details about the programme have not yet been disclosed, the engagement highlights 2Baba’s ongoing commitment to youth-focused advocacy.
In 2017, he also launched the Vote Not Fight campaign in collaboration with the Youngstars Foundation and the National Democratic Institute to promote peaceful civic participation among Nigerian youths.
