Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has responded to online speculation suggesting he has a romantic relationship with actress and reality TV star Bamike Olawunmi-Adenibuyan, popularly known as Bambam, amid rumours surrounding her alleged separation from her husband, Teddy A.
In a recent interview with BBC Igbo, the actor explained that he keeps his interactions with colleagues strictly professional, especially when filming scenes that require physical or romantic contact.
Arukwe said he is always careful when acting alongside married co-stars, noting that he often seeks their consent before performing scenes that involve close physical interaction.
“I met Bambam for the first time when we shot that movie and before filming, I was always asking my co-lead actor if it is okay to touch them in a certain way, especially the married ones because I don’t want them to have problems at home,” he said.
The actor, known for his performance in the film Love in Every Word, added that any intimate scenes in movies are purely part of the script and should not be misunderstood as personal relationships.
