Plans have been concluded for the burial of gospel music minister Bunmi Akinnaanu, whose death was announced earlier this month.
The singer passed away on January 12 after enduring a long battle with a serious leg ailment. Her passing followed months of public concern, during which she had appealed to fans and well-wishers for prayers while undergoing treatment.
Details of the burial programme were made public by gospel artiste Alayo Melody through a post on Instagram, where a flier outlining the activities was shared.
The funeral events will begin on Tuesday, January 20, with a service of songs scheduled to take place at the LTV 8 ground in Ikeja, Lagos. This will be followed by a candlelight procession at 7pm and a tribute and artistes’ night later in the evening.

According to the family, the interment ceremony will hold on Wednesday, January 21, and will be a private event attended only by close family members and associates.
Bunmi Akinnaanu started singing at a young age and later made a life-changing decision to leave the banking sector in order to pursue her calling in gospel music. She rose to fame through her popular song Omije Ojumi, which earned her a strong following among Christian audiences across Nigeria.
