The Isapa community in the Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State has come under attack after unidentified gunmen stormed the area and abducted several residents, including a pregnant woman, children, nursing mothers and other villagers.
According to local accounts, between 20 and 30 armed assailants reportedly entered the community while moving with a large herd of cattle. Residents said the attackers shot indiscriminately as they advanced, sending villagers into hiding.
During the chaos, an elderly woman was hit by a stray bullet.
A community leader who spoke with National Pilot confirmed that 11 people were taken away, noting that seven of them belonged to one family.

Those kidnapped were listed as: Talatu Kabiru, Magaji, Kande, Hadiza, Mariam, Saima, Habibat (a housewife), Fatima Yusufu (a housewife), Sarah Sunday (pregnant woman), Lami Fidelis (a nursing mother), and Haja Na Allah.
The gunmen were said to have fled through bush routes linking Eruku to other nearby communities, leaving residents terrified and uncertain about what might follow.
This latest incident comes less than two weeks after bandits attacked the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), abducting 38 worshippers and leaving others dead. Authorities later confirmed that all 38 kidnap victims from the church attack have now been rescued.
