Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, has released a 24-man list for Nigeria’s upcoming African playoffs for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The list features recalls for goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, midfielder Raphael Onyedika, and winger Chidera Ejuke, who all make their return to the national team setup.
Okoye is back in the squad after completing a two-month suspension following his involvement in a betting scandal in Italy. Onyedika, who missed the closing stages of the qualifiers due to injury, has also been cleared to return. Ejuke, meanwhile, earns a recall after being out of the team for some time.
The squad also includes key regulars such as Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Stanley Nwabali, and Samuel Chukwueze.
Other notable names on the list are William Troost-Ekong, Frank Onyeka, Benjamin Fredericks, Tolu Arokodare, and Akor Adams.
Nigeria will face Gabon in the first semi-final of the playoffs at the Complexe Sportif Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan in Rabat, Morocco, on November 13.

The winner of that encounter will take on either Congo DR or Cameroon in the final for a chance to secure Africa’s sole ticket to the intercontinental playoff stage.
The players are expected to assemble in Rabat on November 10 ahead of the crucial tie.
