Bayern Munich climbed nine points clear at the top of the Bundesliga after a 3–1 win over 10-man Augsburg on Friday—but the victory came with a worrying injury to Jamal Musiala.

Augsburg took the lead 30 minutes in, thanks to a powerful finish from Dimitrios Giannoulis off a clever free kick. Bayern responded just before halftime when Musiala spun past defenders and fired in the equaliser.
But the 22-year-old midfielder later left the pitch in pain. He fell while trying to control a high pass and quickly signaled to the bench. He was taken off in the 54th minute, deepening Bayern’s injury woes.
The German giants are already without key players like Manuel Neuer, Alphonso Davies, Dayot Upamecano, Hiroki Ito, Kingsley Coman, and Aleksander Pavlovic.
Harry Kane headed in Bayern’s second goal—his 23rd of the season—after Augsburg defender Zesinger was sent off for a foul on Kane during a counter-attack. Replays showed the defender got the ball first, but the referee still issued a second yellow card.
Leroy Sane sealed the win in stoppage time when his strike was deflected into the net by Augsburg’s Chrislain Matsima.
Bayern now turn their focus to a busy run of fixtures, starting with a Champions League tie against Inter Milan on Tuesday, followed by matches against Borussia Dortmund and a return leg in Italy.
