Veteran singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has been seen shopping at a hair store alongside his new love interest, Natasha Osawaru, just days after his family expressed concerns over his whereabouts.
A viral video circulating online on Friday captured 2Baba and Osawaru casually browsing hair products, fueling further speculation about their relationship.
Family Declares 2Baba Missing
Before this sighting, reports emerged that 2Baba’s family had filed a petition with the Department of State Services (DSS), alleging that the singer was missing.
His mother, Rose Idibia, also made a public plea to Osawaru, urging her to stay away from her son since his divorce from Annie Idibia is yet to be finalized.
According to Rose, 2Baba is not in the right frame of mind due to the ongoing legal battle over his marriage.
Marriage Proposal Sparks Reactions
This development follows a shocking proposal video that surfaced on Thursday, where 2Baba was seen presenting a ring to Osawaru during a gathering with friends.
The clip, which has since gone viral, showed the singer and the lawmaker dancing intimately before he embraced her and made his declaration.
2Baba Defends Relationship with Osawaru
In response to the backlash, 2Baba confirmed his relationship with the politician, addressing critics in an Instagram video.
He stated:
“Hon. Natasha has been dragged, she has been called all sorts of names, she has been labelled as a home breaker.
She is a young, brilliant, amazing woman, and she had nothing to do with what is happening between me and Annie in our marriage.
Yes, I love her. She is amazing, and she is cool. I want to marry her.”
Who is Natasha Osawaru?
Osawaru is a politician and member of the Edo State House of Assembly, representing the Egor Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). She was elected in April 2023 and hails from the Egor Local Government Area of Edo State.
