Air Peace Airlines has officially refuted allegations circulating in a viral video regarding passenger boarding on Flight P47123 from Abuja to Lagos on December 20, 2024.

In a statement signed by Dr. Ejike Ndiulo, Head of Corporate Communications, the airline clarified that the video was a deliberate attempt to mislead the public and disrupt the airline’s operations.

The airline attributed the reported confusion to harmattan-induced poor weather conditions, which caused significant flight delays nationwide.

To minimize disruptions, Air Peace deployed three aircraft to Abuja to ensure passengers could continue their journeys.

However, the statement explained that passengers overwhelmed boarding officials and rushed to the airside, necessitating ramp officials to intervene and manage the situation.

The airline emphasized its commitment to safety, stating:
“Safety is not just a priority but a fundamental precondition for all our activities. We remain committed to maintaining safe and timely operations.

Air Peace condemned the misinformation in the video and urged the public to disregard it entirely, reaffirming its dedication to providing secure and efficient services.
