Gospel movie producer and actor Moses Are popularly known as Baba Gbenro has died aged 65 after a prolonged battle with liver disease.

His colleague Oluwaseun Adejumobi broke the news on Instagram on Thursday.

He wrote, “Heavens’s Gain Again. General Has Gone to rest.”

Baba Gbenro, as fondly called by his fans, is one of the main actors in the popular Mount Zion Faith Ministries’ series titled ‘Abattoir.’

Moses Are was the founder and international president of Calvary Movies Drama Ministry based in Ogbomoso.

He was also the chief executive officer of Calvary Movies Television.

He was married to Bamike Are.

Born on August 12, 1959, Are grew up in a village in Kano State where he attended school. He also studied in Plateau State before moving to Southwestern Nigeria for his higher school certificate and university education.

After his studies, he completed his NYSC programme in Jigawa State.
