The rumour making the rounds that , Prophetess Naomi Silekunola, the estranged wife of Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni Of Ife, is back to the warm embrace of her husband is not true after all.
Queen Naomi, had announced last Thursday, that she was no longer the wife of the Ooni.
This, she disclosed via an Instagram post.
In a statement posted on her verified Instagram handle, she announced an end to the three-year marriage.

Meanwhile, since the news filtered to town, many have taken sides with either the monarch or Silekunola. Though the queen didn’t mention if she was out of the palace, the press statement issued afterwards from the office of the press officer to the monarch indicated that though the former queen was out of the palace, a car gift was sent to her by the king.
However, a blogger on Instagram had indicated that the former queen was back to the palace. The writer also indicated that some elders from Ile Ife had gone to Akure to meet with some elders in order to beg the Oluwaseyi family.
But this isn’t the truth.
“Former queen Silekunola is not back to the palace. Neither did elders from Ile Ife go to Akure. She has left the palace and that marks the end of her reign in the palace. Silekunola wasn’t married to the king alone but to the people, tradition and culture of the land.
They have accepted her request not to be queen again. She cannot come to the palace again as a queen,” palace source revealed exclusively to Kemi Ashefon.
