For the family of the deposed Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammad Sanusi, its been hours of mixed feelings. To the wives and children, it must have been hours of sadness because not only was their father and husband dethroned, he was banished and sent on exile to Nasarawa State.
However, Adam one of the sons of the former Emir, a brave and confident young man, took to social media to let loose his mind.
First, he insisted on not making any comments that would allow anyone heap insults on his father.
With a determination to remain neutral and not sound embittered, Adam restrained friends and followers from insulting anybody with the excuse of defending the former Emir.
He wrote: “Thank you all
so much for your messages and well wishes. As is with all cases each side has
their reason for why they do things. As a son it should be painfully obvious
who has my support but I do not want my father to be insulted more than I want
to make comments myself so keep my peace and I also ask that you not insult
others on his behalf.
MSII has said to me “when looking for change don’t look at which position is
best for change, but bring positive change in the position you’re in, that’ll
take you to the positions that you can make bigger changes.” He is my hero, and
so I laugh at this situation knowing he’ll overcome it. Good-luck
On Monday, the Kano State Executive Council approved and announced the dethronement of the Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammad Sanusi, at a special sitting.
In the same vein, the governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje also appointed and enthroned former Emir of Bichi, Aminu Ado Bayero as the Emir for Kano emirate after deposing Muhammadu Sansui II.
The Emir, who is former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) before he ascended the throne on June 9, 2014, is quite vocal and never minced words on national issues, religion and many more.
He was the 14th Emir of Kano and head of the Tijaniyya Sufi order, the second-most-important Muslim position in Nigeria after the Sultan of Sokoto, leader of the larger Qadiriyya Sufi order.

However, before he was taken to Abuja Airport where he journeyed to Nasarawa on Monday night, Sanusi, who appeared unfazed by his predicament. also wrote on social media that God made him a king and also took it back.
He said, “The throne of an Emir is not permanent, every king
and leader should know this.
If it was a permanent throne, I wouldn’t have
been the Emir of Kano.
Before I came someone was Emir and before him
someone else was there.
Whenever God says your time on the throne is
over, if you don’t leave with your legs, people will carry your body out of the
palace.
It is God that gives power and it is God that
