With Mercy Aigbe’s husband in Jerusalem where he went on pilgrimage after he was released from prison, another drama has ensued between the actress and her husband’s alleged mistress—Opemititi Ajayi.
For daring to mention her name in an interview her on why her marriage crashed, Opemititi Ajayi, has slammed a N500m lawsuit on actress Mercy Aigbe.
She didn’t spare blogger, Linda Ikeji, either.
Linda Ikeji, whose blog got the scoop of how Mercy Aigbe was beaten by her husband and pictures of the actress’ battered face, had reported that part of the reasons for the marriage crash between Lanre and Mercy, was the intimate affair Lanre was having with Opemititi.
However, Miss Ajayi’s lawyers, Afolabi Fashanu & Co have written the duo of Mercy Aigbe and Linda Ikeji over the alleged frivolous and malicious statements uttered and published respectively by them.
Recall that in an interview with Broadway TV, Mercy Aigbe claimed that her husband slept with Miss Opemititi, a statement which is unsubstantiated and allegedly fabricated.
According to the lawyer, Linda Ikeji, on her part, had exclusively broken the news on her blog that Opemititi aka queen stunner was responsible for Mercy Aigbe’s failed marriage, thereby dragging her name in the mud without any backing evidence; an act of crime as codified in the cyber crime laws of Nigeria.
Opemititi’s lawyers have demanded a retraction and public apologies from both Mercy Aigbe and Linda Ikeji, in the media, including their social media platforms, and also demanded a total sum of N500m each from the duo, as damages.
