They got married in 2019.
Their June 29, 2019 wedding, which took place in Kaduna, made headlines.
It was definitely heaven-made because when he approached her in 1969, she turned him down. Her excuse? She was too young to marry.
Well, Evangelist Matthew Korede Owojaiye shifted his love to Sister Jolomi.
They married in 1977, had kids and lived happily ever after.
But 41 years after, Sister Jolomi died.
Now a widower who lost his wife on March 11, 2018, Evangelist Owojaiye then ran into his first love— Sister Abosede. She was still single and was busy educating herself within the confines of the university.
Now Dr Abosede, she was the lady who turned him down 50 years ago.
According to Korede, God led him to his Sister Abosede, his love for her rekindled and he asked her hand in marriage again.
This time she was 62 hgoing to 63 years!
She accepted his proposal and they got married on June 29, 2019.
They celebrated their first anniversary together in June 2020.
This old Facebook post from Evangelist Owojaiye sums up their love story:
OUR TRUE STORY IN PERSPECTIVE.
My wife Dr Abosede and I are from Egbe. I approached her in
1969 ie 50 years ago. She turned me down that she was too young. I met my late
wife sister Jolomi in U I Ibadan. We married in 1977. She departed to heaven on
March 11, 2018. Dr Abosede had still not married. The Lord led me back to her,
so we got married June 29, 2019. I’m 72 and she is 62+. We rejoice that so many
people who had waited for their miracles had their faith rekindled. May the
good Lord whose name is Wonderful move on your behalf. Expect a miracle from
the Lord Jesus!
