Covid-19: Ooni Of Ife’s Former Wife, Queen Zaynab Gives N10,000 To 10,000 Poor Nigerians
As the nation faces a lockdown in some states (Lagos, Ogun and FCT), the Queen Zaynab Foundation has embarked on a magnanimous venture by helping to alleviate hunger and lack in some communities.

The initiative which is aimed at making Nigerians stay safe in their respective homes as they obey the lockdown directives from the government, is one of the charitable steps taken by Queen Zaynab Otiti-Obanor in her fight against poverty in communities especially among women and children.

The QZF is primarily a non-profit organization which has been providing aid for women and children across the world.

So far, it has been giving funds, medical supplies and food items to many poor Nigerians.
According to the foundation, the fight in combating Coronavirus cannot be a lone venture of the government. Individuals and corporate bodies are part of those who would help conquer this global pandemic.
A statement from the Foundation enjoins poor Nigerians to reach out to them via phone lines in order to be part of those to get the N10,000.
The distribution of the funds which has started in some parts of Abuja and Lagos, has started recording success as many indigent families have had their basic needs met.

The statement, which was signed by Queen Zaynab Otiti-Obanor, reads:
“As part of our support to the community during this COVID-19 Pandemic, the Queen Zaynab Foundation (QZF)is donating 10,000 Naira to 10,000 less-privileged Nigerian families within the rural areas.
We hope by providing the basic needs available to these individuals, the ability to stay home and not be forced to go on the streets will be lessened.
Proper hygiene, self
preservation and isolation is important at this time to contain the spread of
COVID-19. We are hopeful and prayerful that this pandemic will be over soon without
more casualties.
This issue has shown that Nigerians have a sense of community as we have seen
how able and good people have all come out over these last few weeks to render
support to the affected and less fortunate.

No individual can do it all but we can all collectively help those who will struggle to survive during this period. As we all look forward to better days ahead.
