Charles Idibia, younger brother to Nigerian music icon 2Baba, has launched a serious allegation against the singer’s current partner, accusing her of manipulation and emotional control.aking to Instagram in a string of emotional posts, Charles stopped short of naming the woman but claimed she is behind a string of disturbing developments in the singer’s life since his separation from Annie Idibia.
According to Charles, this unnamed girlfriend went as far as hacking into 2Baba’s phone to publicly announce his divorce, despite him still being legally married to Annie.
“You’ve been captured,” Charles declared in a cryptic yet direct post.
He described his brother as a gentle, peaceful man who avoids conflict and places others before himself, even to his own detriment.
“To the gentle, kind, loving, peaceful being, to the guy who would not intentionally hurt a fly… You have not moved on. You have been captured. So my heart bleeds,” Charles wrote.
He alleged that the woman in question influenced 2Baba’s decision to abandon his music management and relocate from Lagos to Abuja, turning him into what he described as “her arm candy.”
“It can never be a crime to move on from where you were almost losing your life and soul,” he continued, “but this isn’t healing—it’s bondage.”
Among the most shocking claims was that the woman adopted 2Baba’s surname and introduced herself as his wife, while he was still legally married to Annie.
“She convinced you to move away from your businesses, sabotaged your business trips, broke into your phone, and posted pictures on your social media without consent,” Charles alleged.
“She even forced a public plea for marriage while you slept. This isn’t love—it’s obsession.”
In a particularly stark warning, Charles compared the situation to a dark crime series.

Charles concluded his messages with a passionate plea for his brother to take a break from everything—music, business, and social media.

He called 2Baba a “great chess player” and urged him to step away from the “game” before it’s too late.

2Baba went public with his relationship with Natasha Osawaru in February 2025 after his separation from Annie.
His new relationship has been marked by public scrutiny, particularly after Natasha added “Idibia” to her Instagram name.
