The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reminded eligible Nigerians to complete their voter registration before the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise ends on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

In a public notice shared on its official X account on Saturday, the electoral body encouraged prospective voters to take advantage of the remaining registration period, noting that applications can be completed online or at designated registration centres across the country.

“Your future won’t wait. Neither should you. The Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise ends Sunday, 26 July 2026,” the commission said.

INEC explained that eligible citizens can register entirely through its online CVR portal or visit any of its state offices, local government area offices or approved registration centres if they require physical assistance.

“You can complete your voter registration online from start to finish via cvr.inecnigeria.org. If you need assistance, visit any INEC State Office, LGA Office, or designated registration centre to complete your registration in person,” the commission added.

The electoral body also announced that all registration centres nationwide will continue to operate daily, including weekends, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. until the exercise concludes.

The Continuous Voter Registration exercise forms part of INEC’s preparations for the 2027 general elections, allowing eligible Nigerians to register as new voters or update their existing voter records before the polls.
