The All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed that it has successfully submitted the details of its 471 candidates for the 2027 presidential and National Assembly elections on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Candidate Nomination Portal.
The submission includes the party’s presidential ticket, officially confirming President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima as its candidates for the 2027 presidential election.
Also uploaded were the names of 109 Senate candidates and 360 House of Representatives candidates, completing the party’s nominations for all positions covered by the INEC portal.
APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, a day after INEC closed the portal for the submission of presidential and National Assembly candidates.
Congratulating members of the party, Yilwatda praised the successful completion of the nomination process.
“I congratulate our candidates, leaders, and members of APC on the successful 100% upload of our Presidential, Vice Presidential, Senate, and House of Representatives candidates on the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal (ICNP),” he said.
He added, “With this milestone achieved, our focus now shifts to mobilisation and preparations for a successful campaign and decisive victory at the polls.”
The submission officially settles speculation over the APC’s presidential ticket by confirming Shettima will remain Tinubu’s running mate in the next general election.
