FIFA President Gianni Infantino has announced that the 2026 World Cup final in New Jersey will feature the first-ever Super Bowl-style half-time show.

The landmark entertainment spectacle will be curated by Coldplay’s Chris Martin and Phil Harvey.
“This will be a historic moment for the FIFA World Cup and a show befitting the biggest sporting event in the world,” Infantino stated on Instagram.
The decision was revealed after FIFA’s commercial and media partners met in Dallas ahead of the tournament, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. While specific details and duration of the show remain undisclosed, the move follows last year’s Copa America final in Miami, where Shakira performed at half-time.
Infantino also hinted at a major FIFA event in New York’s Times Square during the final weekend, further amplifying the tournament’s grand finale.
