A health expert, David Kaufman has said that most
women tend to put the cart before horse in their sex lives. According to
Kaufman, the costly mistake a woman makes after sex is to avoid the toilet.
Many are said to believe in the misconception of peeing before sex to push
off bacteria. Kaufman says this is nothing but an error of judgment women.
Peeing before sex is the activity that must be done last – that is, after sex.
It is believed that bacteria from the woman’s vagina crawl their way into the
urethra during sex and damage the urinary tract. To flush out the bacteria and
prevent its damage, doctors advise women to urinate after sex to dislodge
the bacteria and dispose of it safely in their stream. The implication of not
going to the toilet after sex is that “the bacteria makes its way into the
bladder and develops into an infection.”
Tips
To Preventing Urinary Tract Infection, (UTI)
  • Drink plenty of
water to avoid dehydration and help clear bacteria from the urinary tract
  • Go to the toilet
as soon as you feel the need to urinate, rather than holding it in
  • Wipe from front
to back after going to the toilet
  • Practise good
hygiene by washing your genitals every day, and before having sex
  • Empty your
    bladder after having sex
