For those crucifying actress, Tonto Dikeh for not making attempts to salvage her marriage to Olakunle Churchill, she has revealed that she did.
In a video shared online, Tonto explained her attempts at making the marriage work but all efforts were failed because she was abused by her husband.
She said, “I realized it wasn’t my fault. I had to get out. I loved him and wanted it to work but he kept saying sorry.”
According to her, one in three women die in the hands of their boyfriends or intimate partners. One in three women is abused…
Tonto, who explained the motif of the video, said it was a campaign on domestic violence against women.
She wrote:
“Hello everyone, this isn’t an interview or a movie. It is an Ad for the #1in3Africa Stop the violence against women campaign. This is a project I’m most passionate about and I pray Olori Wuraola’s vision reaches as many abused women as possible. GOD bless you all..
#empoweringwomen #1in3Africa #campaign #Ad #empoweredliving #TontoDikeh #we must not be deterred from our focus to fight domestic violence.” (sic)
