Anu Adeleke, the teenager who has publicly identified herself as the daughter of Nigerian music star Davido, has issued another emotional statement in response to the singer’s denial of paternity and comments about alleged DNA test results.
The controversy began after Anu used social media to call for a DNA test, explaining that persistent bullying and emotional trauma pushed her to seek clarity about her identity. She said she had been mocked by her peers for claiming to be related to the award-winning artist.
Davido later responded online, rejecting her claim and insisting that several DNA tests had already been carried out, all with negative outcomes. The singer stated that he had completed five tests in total, some at facilities he selected and others chosen by Anu’s side. He also expressed anger over the situation and threatened legal action against Anu’s mother.
In a fresh reaction, Anu said she was shocked and deeply hurt by Davido’s remarks, which she described as abusive and intimidating. She accused the singer of publicly insulting her mother and misrepresenting the facts surrounding the DNA tests.
She stated, “Dear Nigerians: My dad, Mr David Adeleke, replied to me earlier this evening. I was devastated by the way he cursed me out, bullied me, and threatened to lock my mother up simply because I wanted to establish my identity.”

Anu questioned the changing narrative around the number of DNA tests, noting inconsistencies in Davido’s claims. “He also tweeted to the WORLD, calling my mom a ‘bitch’ he never met, yet claiming he now had 5 (FIVE) DNA tests with me. First, it was two; now, it’s 5. He even said the last one was on my 10th birthday.”
She maintained that only one DNA test was ever conducted and alleged it was not authentic. “According to my mom, we only went for one test, which Chief Dr Deji Adeleke took us to, and it was FAKE, as posted in her statement pinned at the top of this page.”
Expressing gratitude to those who reached out in support, Anu said more evidence would be shared soon. “I thank everyone who supported me emotionally this morning, including the media. My mom will post the chat later.”
She ended her message by distancing her mother from the ongoing dispute, saying, “My mother has moved on and does not appreciate this false information.”
The statement was signed, “Anuoluwapo Adeleke, January 15th 2026, Ibadan.”
