Veteran Nollywood actor, Bolaji Amusan aka Mr. Latin must be a happily married man.
The actor who is the President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPPAN) is married to Oluronke who is based in Ireland.
Just on his birthday a few days ago, Mr Latin, posted a car which came as a surprise gift from his wife.
Amusan, who is the chairman of TAMPPAN, wrote, “ Thanks Greatly for this wonderful Surprise birthday gift. I appreciate greatly my darling @ronkesololaamusan.
Mr Latin has been married to Oluronke since 1999.In an interview he disclosed how they met. “I met her while strolling along my office one day at Isabo in Abeokuta, Ogun State. I asked her out but as an actor, she merely laughed off my request. I pestered her for some time and she eventually agreed after two and half years. We got married in 1999.”
On why she relocated with the kids to Ireland, the couple maintained that it was a good decision since Olurone, a teacher, was becoming bored at home due to incessant strikes.
He said, “It was the idea of the two of us. There was a long strike by teachers at a time and we thought such would not give our children what we really wanted for them. We decided to relocate but because of the nature of my job, I cannot stay over there with them.”
