Popularly known as Malaika, Fuji artiste, Suleiman Alao has earned his name through hardwork and his peaceful demeanour.
Currently married to two wives, the number would have increased to three if the sizzling love affair between him and Nollywood actress, Tayo Odueke aka Sikiratu Sidodo had not hit the rocks.
Then, everyone believed Sikiratu Sindodo would marry Malaika considering the role he played while she took ill some years ago. He was her life support and was a shoulder she leaned on during her travails.
Then, she got well and started granting interviews to the press that she would soon get married to Malaika. Of course, the musician also confirmed the development in an interview.
But the affair keeled over! What could have happened? Was Malaika afraid to ‘take over’ from where MC Oluomo ‘dropped the baton?’
Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo is the current Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
He was once married customarily to Sikiratu Sindodo but the couple divorced after a nasty experience MC confessed he would not forget in a jiffy.
Back to Malaika and Sindodo.
She sought refuge in his arms and looked forward to a blissful marital life in his home that had already two wives and some children.
“Malaika is lucky to have good wives who cooperated and made sure Sindodo’s dream didn’t see the light of day,” a source told Kemi Ashefon.
One of the wives, Bukky Malaika, can’t be shoved aside in a crowd. A Lagos businesswoman who plies her trade in kitchen and household utensils, her appearance at most shindigs ups the tempo.
Quite close to Oyindamola Oyedepo, who is Kokozaria’s first wife, its no surprise that Bukky dealt with Sindodo and made sure the Nollywood actress didn’t end up as Mrs Suleiman Malaika.
Recall how Oyindamola, whose husband, Koko Zaria, a personal aide of MC Oluomo, handled the infidelity case between Kokozaria and Awele Odita, another Nollywood actress. Unluckily for Oyindamola, Awele, who relocated to the US, while pregnant, ended up having a boy for Koko Zaria and refers to herself as a wife.
“Bukky is no trouble-shooter. She has her circle of friends, goes to her shop in Ebute Ero,Lagos and whenever she needs to be any public function, she is dressed to the nines. In fact, today, April 14, is her birthday and she has been thanking God for his mercies over her life and home.
Though her husband has not put up her photo to wish her a happy birthday, there is an understanding on that and she is at peace with the man,” a source said.
Malaika loves his wives and children—he doesn’t joke with peace in his home.
Bukky, who is 43 years old today, is a mother of four. She must have gotten married to the Fuji musician more than 20 years ago because in February, she announced their wedding anniversary and shared some throwback photos.
As a matter of fact, her first daughter, a teenager, is having her birthday tomorrow, April 15th. Bukky is no noise-maker either. Except you are close to her or monitors her social media handles, she doesn’t flaunt the fact that she is a celebrity wife. Except for her business and party photos, she hardly posts photos of her husband.
Do you blame her? She knows that aside Sindodo, not a few actresses, female fans and followers want a bite of what she chews at home.
