Actress Ruth Kadiri has addressed long-standing claims that she has been hiding her husband from the public.
The 36-year-old, who got married in a private ceremony in 2019, is known for never revealing her husband’s face on social media, often sharing only his hands or back view in photos.
Speaking on the Diary of a Naija Girl podcast, Ruth dismissed the claims, saying her husband is very much involved in her public life, but people simply don’t know him.
“Do you know that we go to church together, we go to events together… Most events I organise, my husband is there, and if you go on his social media, you would only be seeing word of God, so he’s not even posting his own pictures,” she said.
The mother of two added: “It’s just ‘cause you don’t know him… my life is not as private as people think, it’s just ‘cause you don’t know, so you now don’t know.”
Ruth tied the knot with her husband, Ezerika in 2019. They welcomed their first daughter, Reign Ezerika, in August 2019, and their second daughter in July 2022.
The actress, who is also a screenwriter and producer, is known for keeping her personal life away from the spotlight despite being active on social media.
Ruth holds a mass communication degree from the University of Lagos and a diploma in Business Administration from Yaba College of Technology.
Over the years, she has starred in and produced several Nollywood films and is regarded as one of the most consistent female filmmakers in the industry.
