Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has raised alarm over her marriage to husband Ned Nwoko after a video showing her seemingly in distress circulated widely on social media on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
In the video, which has been widely circulated on X, she appeared to suggest that she may have been subjected to physical abuse.
The video captured Regina surrounded by a crowd amid a tense commotion, during which she could be heard shouting, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing, but in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much.”
The clip also depicts men seemingly poised to intervene, with one holding a stick, indicating a potentially heated confrontation.
Although people around her attempted to calm her, the exact cause of the incident remains unclear.
The footage has nonetheless fueled widespread speculation online, with many users suggesting that her marriage might be facing difficulties.
Regina’s marriage to Ned Nwoko has long been in the public eye due to their 40-year age difference—she was 19 at the time of their wedding, while Nwoko was 59.
Their marriage has also drawn scrutiny due to Nwoko’s polygamous lifestyle, as he has six wives, with Regina being the youngest and sixth.
The incident occurred shortly after Regina, who celebrated her birthday on October 10, shared a story about her ring, “Guys! So, a quick story. I misplaced my ring months back, but y’all made it extremely noticeable to my husband by highlighting its absence.
“At first, he was hell-bent on not getting a new one because he thought it was one of my mischiefs. To cut the story short, he finally bought a new one, which is better than the old one!”
The post, previously viewed as playful, now stands in stark contrast to the distress shown in the viral video.
Confirming the unrest, Regina’s brother, Ojeogwu Samuel Danhillman (Sammy West), voiced his anger and support for his sister on his Instagram story.
“Makachi, e pain me say una wan finally laugh my sister. Let me repeat anywhere wey man dey beat woman, wheter na my sister or not, I go fight with my blood. Senator Ned Nwoko, you get luck say after you beat my sister again, smash her head for wall, you wan comot send thugs! I swear I for burst all your jaw.”
This development comes months after the senator publicly denied rumors that his wife had left him.
In March, while celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary, Nwoko addressed speculation about the state of their marriage, writing, “Let them talk, let them guess. While we live, while we bless, for at the end, when curtains close, it’s us, my love, that victory knows.”
The speculation started in February when Daniels removed her husband’s name from her Instagram profile and deleted several photos of him from her account.
Shortly after returning to Instagram, the actress subtly responded to critics who had offered advice amid rumours about the troubles in her marriage.
Posing in front of a Ferrari, the actress wrote, “Don’t comment if you’ve never cried in a Ferrari before.”
