Music artiste Portable has said he will never fake his death to promote his album.

Portable said this in an Instagram post on Thursday amid rumour that rapper Oladips who was announced dead on Tuesday is still alive.

The rumour started circulating after Olaidps’ management released his album barely two days after his death was announced.

The rapper’s friend and colleague Qdot also claimed that he is still alive. He shared a picture of the rapper on Instagram with the caption: “My gee is still alive.”

Reacting to the rumour, Portable made a video saying he would never use death to promote his album.

“Life never tire me ooo! Me I no go use my death promote my album o! Fans mi I wan drop my album celebrate me when I am still alive,” Portable said as he announced his 19 tracks album which he said would be released on Friday.

“I’m still alive. Celebrate me when I’m still alive, una no go post my RIP,” the Zazu star added.

His management announced the shocking demise in a brief statement shared on the rapper’s Instagram post on Wednesday. was announced on Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

According to the statement, the 28-year-old who died on Tuesday had been battling within himself. The management also said that his body is with his family and the funeral service will be announced soon.
