Former Labour Party presidential candidate and ex–Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, has officially declared his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election.
Obi made the confirmation while speaking during an X Spaces session on Sunday night, where he addressed supporters and clarified his political direction ahead of the next general election.
During the conversation, the former governor firmly stated that he has no interest in serving as a running mate to any candidate, stressing that his political journey and experience are geared toward leading, not deputising.
