TikTok star and content creator Hamzat Habeeb, popularly known as Peller, has announced that he has been admitted to study Law at Caleb University in Lagos, marking a new phase in his personal and professional journey.

The news was shared in a lively Instagram video on Saturday, where Peller addressed years of online criticism regarding his education while celebrating the achievement. In the clip, he confidently declared, “Hello guys, everyone in the world watching me. I got admission to a university in Lagos. Educated or not educated, they wanted to use that to finish my life. Maybe I am the only one who did not go to university. Now we can do the challenge. I go to a private university, I go to a public university. It is Law that I am studying.”

Accompanying the post, he added in the caption, “Congratulations to me o. Na so they call me this morning say I don get admission. Omo make una clear road, I go to pepper una.”

Peller’s announcement comes after months of public discussion about his educational background. On January 5, during a live session with fellow content creator Enzo, he revealed plans to pursue further education to improve his spoken English. At the time, he admitted, “My English is bad… but I am going to the university soon, I am an Art student.”

The influencer has also been in the headlines for controversial moments online, including a car crash during a live broadcast in 2025, which the Lagos State Police described as “extremely dangerous,” posing risks to both him and the public. The incident was subsequently handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.

Peller’s return to academics was also highlighted in November 2025 when lawyer and activist Deji Adeyanju encouraged him to pursue formal education. Adeyanju wrote on Facebook, “Peller should go to school. Education will shape his life and destiny. He can still be doing all the TikTok and making money, but education will add real value to his life.”

He further recommended a legal path for Peller, stating, “Let me suggest that he considers a law degree, but he must get a credit in Literature in English first.”

While Adeyanju’s advice drew mixed reactions online, Peller’s recent confirmation of studying Law appears to align with the earlier recommendation, signaling a shift toward formal education alongside his social media career.
