Billionaire businessman and philanthropist Femi Otedola has praised fellow billionaire and chairman of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, over the ongoing expansion of the Dangote Refinery.
In a post shared on his official X handle on Sunday, Otedola disclosed that he visited the refinery and described the massive facility as the “eighth wonder of the world.”
“Today 15 February 2026, I visited the Dangote Refinery, what I call the 8th wonder of the world,” he wrote.
Otedola further revealed that the full completion of the expansion project would significantly boost the refinery’s production capacity to 1.4 million barrels per day.
“After successful completion of this expansion project, capacity will increase to 1.4m barrels per day … F.Ote 💲,” he added.

This comes months after Otedola publicly congratulated Dangote when the refinery’s management announced that it had achieved its full nameplate capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, following the restoration and optimisation of its Crude Distillation Unit and Motor Spirit production block.
The Dangote Refinery, located in Lagos, remains one of Africa’s most ambitious industrial projects, playing a critical role in Nigeria’s energy and economic landscape.
