For Alhaji Abass Akande, popularly referred to as Obesere, it was time to celebrate his wife, Alhaja Tolanikawo Akande (Nee Adelakun).
Tolani, whose birthday was on July 28 must be happy to have her photos and that of her husband, the Asakasa crooner, splashed by friends and well wishers on Instagram.
Wearing a pink HOH fabric and 24karat gold jewellery, the couple’s friends have been celebrating on social media.
Taking to Instagram, Obsere wrote, “Aya temi AKANDE nikan tan. Iya awon BOYS. Yeye Agbaakin Abobagunwa of The Universe (new title I’m giving you). Happy birthday to you my LOVE. Recall that he (Obesere) has completed a multimillion naira mansion in his home town, Ibadan, Oyo State some years ago.
When asked if the edifice was for his wife, Obesere replied:
“It’s true but the house doesn’t belong to me, that’s for my wife. I am not the type that should be making noise about such things. But I thank God for everything. I told God since more than 10 years I had built a house for my mother that I will do something similar for my wife as well because she really deserves it. Now, God has answered my prayer. She’s a wife that stands by me at all times. So, if I have done more than that, she deserves it. And in few months, it will be opened officially.”
