Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State met with President Muhammadu Buhari Monday to present his nomination form for the Edo State All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship primary to the president.

The governor is seeking re-election for another term of four years but Adams Oshiomhole, the party’s national chairman is seeking to block his return because of their protracted quarrel and power tussle in their home state.

The APC primary is scheduled to hold later this month.

The governor told journalists he had come to personally inform the president of the re-election bid as his father and father of the party.
