A retired renowned broadcaster with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Aisha Bello Mustapha, is dead.

Nigerians woke up on Monday to the news of her death.

The tragic news has prompted an outpouring of reactions from Nigerians.

“Innalilahi wa inna Alaihin Rajiun. May Allah forgive our Mother Hajia Aishat Bello Mustapha. Mama, indeed, you are a very kind-hearted person. We will miss you and hope you are enjoying Rahma,” the family said in a statement.

However, details of the cause of death were not disclosed.

A funeral prayer will hold for the late newscaster at the Central Mosque in Abuja by 1 pm later today (Monday).

Aisha retired from active service in May 2022, ending 35 years of a stellar career in broadcasting.
