Nollywood actors and actresses gathered on Thursday for a heartfelt Service of Songs and special prayers in memory of their late colleague, producer Allwell Ademola.
Social media videos from the event showed Afeez Abiodun, Rotimi Salami, and Kunle Afod among those taking part in what was described as a wrap prayer.
Salami, known to be one of Ademola’s closest friends in the industry, delivered an emotional tribute that drew tears from many attendees.
“If there’s anyone Allwell has offended, directly or indirectly, please, forgive her and keep praying for her,” Salami said, struggling to hold back his emotions.
He also urged colleagues to preserve Ademola’s influence on Nollywood, highlighting the importance of unity.
“I think the only thing we can actually do is to find a way in unity to keep her legacy. Even if she’s gone, let all that she has done stay with us and be with us,” he added.
The event saw the presence of several notable Nollywood figures, including Odunlade Adekola, Saheed Balogun, Bolaji Amusan, Abiola Adebayo, Iyabo Ojo, Fausat Balogun, Eniola Ajao, and Fathia Balogun.

Many attendees wore customised white T-shirts featuring Ademola’s portrait, a gesture that reflected their personal connection to the late producer.
According to the family’s burial plan, Thursday’s Service of Songs will be followed by a candlelight procession and an Artistes’ Night, with closing remarks expected by 11:00 pm. The burial is set to take place on Friday at Atan Cemetery, Yaba, Lagos State.
Ademola reportedly passed away on December 27 after suffering a heart attack at her residence, leaving behind a lasting legacy in the Nollywood community.
